Baker Entertainment Corp. is a Los Angeles based
personal management company. Although the firm originally
specialized in representing stand-up comedians,
it has expanded in recent years to also work with
actors, writers, and directors. The firm's most
prominent clients are Tim Allen and Drew Carey.
Messina
Baker Entertainment was founded in 1987 by Rick
Messina and Richard Baker. Prior to launching
the company Rick Messina owned Rick Messina Talent
Consultants, a New York based consulting firm
specializing in stand-up comedy and exclusive
buyers for 30 national nightclubs. Richard Baker
previously was a New York based television producer
whose credits included "Live from Lincoln
Center" (PBS), "Comedy Tonight"
(syndication), and several rock concert specials
for MTV including Frank Zappa and Lou Reed shows.
